Why should we grant constitutional rights to non-Americans?

I thought the constitutional rights ONLY applies to American citizens. Now do to political correctness on crack and Obama's appeasement to terrorist, these throw back terrorist from the 7th century will be released on our streets because their home countries don't want them. I guess terrorist rights are more important than the safety of American citizens?
