Is IDSL Internet expensive?

So I live in a rural southwestern Illinois area (just outside of Chester if you know where that is), about 3 miles out of town. After two years of hell, we finally got out of our contract with HughesNet. We paid around $80 a month. I have a Playstation 3, my brother has an Xbox 360, and we're wanting to play online. Our latency is just too high with satellite Internet.. Will IDSL be any more expensive than HughesNet? Will it be faster/slower (in terms of browsing speeds, downloads, etc.)? Will it be able to handle online gaming? Will it even reach us?
