Removing paint from a brick chimney with heat gun?

Sand blast it OR walnut blast it Paint s the surface of the brick and you will have to remove part of the surface the get it all off .Or you can do what Ross Perot did with his child hood home .He repurchased it and someone had painted the brick and he wanted it exactly like it was when he lived there So he had masons take it apart brick by brick and turn them around so the painted surface was no longer visible
